The NSE was formed in the year 1992, it started the concept of the electronic market and now NSE is ranked 4th among the other countries in the world.

Now, the National Stock Exchange of India is undertaking transactions in the field of debt, equity, etc. NIFTY is the index that was launched by the national stock exchange that is used to track the assets in Indian equity markets.

To oppose the dominance of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and to minimise the influence of some influential middlemen in the Stock Market, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was marketed as just a new stock market in which both company’s equities and debt instruments are exchanged. The NSE is the most sophisticated since it considers screen-based trading. The success of this stock market is clear since the volume and value of transactions had overtaken those of Bombay Stock Exchange within several years of its launch. Apart from that, the values of securities traded on the National Stock Exchange have an impact on those traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
