Current Liabilities

Current liabilities are short-term obligations that a company owes to its creditors or other creditors.

Current liabilities include accounts payable, short-term loans, accrued expenses, and current portion of long-term debt. Current liabilities are important because they are used to generate revenue and to help the company maintain its liquidity.

Accounts payable are amounts due to suppliers for goods or services provided.

Short-term loans are loans made to a company by banks for a short term, usually less than a year.

Accrued expenses are expenses that are not yet paid but are owed to the company, such as rent, wages, and utilities.

Current portion of long-term debt is the portion of long-term debt that is due to be paid within one year.
