
Anicut Capital Secures $11 million in Dollar-Denominated Investments
Anicut Capital, a renowned alternative investment firm, has successfully received $11 million in dollar-denominated investments via the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) structure for its Private Credit Fund 3. This latest development is a significant milestone for the company, which has consistently demonstrated its commitment to attracting international investments into India.
$11 million Investment via GIFT City Structure
The $11 million investment, consisting of dollar-denominated funds, is part of the overall corpus of Rs 1,500 crore that Anicut Capital is currently raising for its Private Credit Fund 3. This fund aims to attract investments from a diverse group of institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) from key global markets, including the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
SIDBI Investment in September 2022
In September last year, Anicut Capital secured an investment of Rs 50 crore from the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for the Anicut Equity Fund. This strategic investment further reinforces the company’s growth and expansion plans.
Strong Track Record in Private Credit
Anicut Capital boasts a robust track record in private credit, having deployed Rs 3,200 crore to date across mid-sized enterprises since its inception. In the first year of operations, the company has already invested in six companies, including Earth Rhythm, Neemans, Wheelocity, The Ayurveda Experience, Blue Tokai Coffee, and XYXX.
IFSC Facility
The funds received via the IFSC facility will be utilized to enhance the overall investment portfolio of Anicut Capital’s Private Credit Fund 3. The IFSC is a statutory authority established by the Government of India to facilitate international investments.
This latest development highlights Anicut Capital’s continued efforts to bridge the gap between international investors and Indian businesses, promoting economic growth and development in the country.
