Health-tech Startup Sunfox Technologies Secures Rs 15 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding
In a significant development, Dehradun-based health-tech startup Sunfox Technologies has secured Rs 15 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Venture Catalysts, with participation from Finvolve through the IA Growth Opportunities Fund I and Brew Opportunities Fund, as well as Universal Group, RP Singhvi Group, and other notable investors.
This funding marks a major milestone for Sunfox, which has already made waves in the industry with its flagship product, Spandan. Spandan is a portable ECG device that enables users to detect heart attacks and monitor cardiac health in real-time through a smartphone app. This innovative technology has been used by over 30,000 individuals across 20 countries, resulting in the early detection of more than 10,000 heart conditions and, ultimately, saving over 10,000 lives.
The funds raised in this round will fuel Sunfox’s expansion plans in India and globally, while also driving the scaling of its flagship product. The company’s cofounders, Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Saurabh Badola, Nitin Chandola, and Sabit Rawat, have already laid the foundation for success with the establishment of an advanced R&D and manufacturing facility in Dehradun. This cutting-edge facility has garnered attention from prestigious institutions like Oxford and Wharton, a testament to Sunfox’s credibility in the health-tech space.
Sunfox’s efforts are more crucial than ever, given the surge in heart attacks post-COVID-19 in India. With the health-tech startup’s innovative product and dedication to improving cardiac health outcomes, Sunfox is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.
