India-based Legends League Cricket (LLC), a professional cricket league featuring a roster of senior cricketers, has secured a significant funding of Rs 39 crore from Brickwork, a leading infrastructure and project advisory company. The valuation of the league now stands at a substantial Rs 350 crore, indicating the growing popularity and potential of the sport in the region.

The funding, allocated from Brickwork, will be utilized by the league to support its expansion plans, which include a stronger presence in international markets and further infrastructure development. Co-founded in 2021 by Raman Raheja and Vivek Khushalani, LLC currently comprises six franchises, namely India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Bhilwara Kings, Manipal Tigers, Urban Risers Hyderabad, and Southern Superstars.

The league has a thriving investor base comprising notable sports enthusiasts, including Vikram Singhania, Jayant Davar, Sanjay Gupta, and Arvind Singhania.

Grand Return for Legends League Cricket 2024

With the new funding, LLC has expressed its intentions to host an even larger and more spectacular edition of the Legends League Cricket in 2024. The upcoming season, scheduled to take place between September 11 and October 5, 2024, promises a highest-ever lineup of matches and celebrated cricketers.

Eight cricket legends, including Ross Taylor, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Aaron Finch, and Chris Gayle, have confirmed their participation. As the league gears up for its biggest season yet, it has taken an early decision to play twelve out of its thirty-four scheduled matches in India, citing viewer demand.

While acknowledging the appetite for international sporting events, the league is simultaneously recognizing the grassroots awareness of domestic cricket needs to be sustained with the best games taking place in both domestic settings.
