Mumbai-based debt firm, VentureSoul Partners, has reached the first close of its maiden fund, securing a total of Rs 146.5 crore. The SEBI-registered Category II AIF is targeting a total corpus of Rs 300 crore, with options to scale up to an additional Rs 300 crore.

According to VentureSoul, the fund plans to invest in around 20-25 startups, with an average ticket size of Rs 25-30 crore, capped at Rs 60 crore. The fund is focused on backing startups with established business models and revenue streams in the fintech, B2C, B2B, and SaaS sectors, targeting Series A or later-stage investments.
