Elantas Beck India manufactures a wide range of specialty chemicals for electrical insula??on and construc??on industries. It has manufacturing plants at Pimpri and Ankleshwar in India.
1996
Dr Beck & Co has won the first Mahratta Chamber of Commerce and Industries Dr R J Rathi award for environmental pollution control for 1996.
Dr. Beck forays into automotive paints segment
1999 - Schenectady (India) Holdings Ltd. (SIHL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Schenectady International Inc., USA acquired 51 per cent of the Equity
Capital of the Company from the BASF Group.
The Company has received the ISO 14001 Environment Management Systems
certification from RWTUV Germany.
The name of the Company was changed to Schenectady-Beck India Ltd.,
Mr. W.A. Graham, Mr. S.M. Abba, Mr. M.A. MacCormick, Mr. G.W. Brown,
Ms. A.G. Gardner and Ms. H.M. Ward, representatives of Schenectady
International Inc., were appointed as Directors in the last Annual General Meeting.
Mr. M.V. Vaidya, whole-time Director has retired from the services of the Company.
Mr. P.R. Deshpande, Mr. V.M. Bhat and Mr. Hans Evert Rohlmann have resigned from
the Board.
The Company has entered into an agreement with Schenectady International Inc.. USA
for transfer of technology for new and improved variety of wire enamels and insulating
varnishes and also for receiving benefits of technical information and access to the results
of its world wide Research and Development activities and technology updates, on an
ongoing basis.
2000 - The Pune based Schendectady-Beck India has launched BeckSeal, a two component
epoxy resin-based sealant in putty consistency for household applications.
2001 - The Company has proposed to amalgamate Schenectady India Ltd. with itself, One equity
share will be allotted for every 20 shares of SIL held.
2002-Gregg Wright Brown resigns from the Board of Schenectady-Beck.
