A Follow-On-Public offering (FPO) refers to the issuance of fresh shares for subscription by the public by a company that is already listed on the stock exchange. FPOs are conducted to acquire funds for various purposes, such as mergers and acquisitions, re-payment of loans, expansion etc. In India, companies like Tata Steel and Power Grid Corporation of India have issued FPOs.
