Irredeemable debentures, also called perpetual debentures or non-redeemable debentures, are debentures (debt instruments unsecured by collateral) that can only be redeemed under certain conditions: at the time of dissolution of the company, upon expiry, or the issuer’s decision to repay the borrowed amount.
